Yu-Wen Peng - Piano / Music Director / Composer
Yu-Wen Peng graduated from The Department of Sociology at National Taiwan University and from The Department of Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, U.S.A.
She has been a pianist and specialist on music arrangement for the Dizzy Jazz Band and a pianist in Mucho Mas Latin Ensemble and Hacker Jazz Quintet. She also has played piano and keyboards for Tommy Yan's Third World Ensemble. Yu-Wen was a columnist for Hi-Fi magazine ,and she has been teaching piano and jazz theory at Yamaha and Taipei Communication Arts, among other music institutes.
She arranged jazz versions of some famous songs such as "Hold Me Tight" and "Jiu Gan Tang Bei Bir" for Donna and Su Jui as well as other Taiwanese pop signers. Yu-Wen granted the Toshiko Akiyoshi Award when she studied in the United State. And her works were highly acclaimed and performed many times in Berklee Concert Hall.
